About me...

Long before podcasting was the big new thing, I was lurking in radio studios, and over the last twenty-odd years I've worked for some of the UK's biggest stations.

At the BBC, I've written and read news bulletins for national networks, and spent long late-night hours in studios analysing the last three General Elections, as well as the EU referendum and countless other pivotal political events. I've also appeared on TV around the world, commenting on UK politics.

I've been a news editor at ITN, and at Classic FM was the main voice of news on Europe's biggest commercial station for almost a decade, as well as producing its nightly news programme.

At the forces' station, BFBS, I edited the weekly defence and foreign affairs analysis programme Sitrep, which won a silver at the Sony Radio Academy awards. 

I regularly present news programmes for Monocle 24, the global internet radio station run by Monocle magazine, and can still sometimes be heard reading the news as well...
